The Smart Cap

The interchangeable pressure plates are available for all sizes of the Ultimate Ligature and the Pure Brass Ligature.

This accessory is advised to be sold together with S type saxophone ligatures and clarinet ligatures. You can find more details in the advanced ligature fitting chart.

The Smart Cap

This new revolutionary cap for saxophone and clarinet mouthpieces reveals nicely the whole mouthpiece line. It fits all types of mouthpieces, no matter what ligature is used.

Before using your Cap, make sure the included replaceable felt pad is applied (can be ordered separately). This helps to regulate the humidity level of the reed; in a dry environment, moisten the pad with a few drops of water, in a humid environment, leave it as it is.

The Smart Cap is available for all saxophone and clarinet mouthpieces and is included with every ligature.

The Interchangeable Pressure Plates

A set of 3 interchangeable pressure plates is available to players who want to experiment with sound and tone colors. These plates are suitable for both the Ultimate Ligature and the Pure Brass Ligature.

for a free, light and flexible sound with a quick response

• 1 solid brass plate

for a deeper tone with more resistance, mostly appreciated by classical players

The Level Expander

The Ultimate Ligature and the Ultimate Ligature Pure Brass can be adapted to special, thinner, or German clarinet mouthpieces using a level expander.

To rig your ligature with these special plates, unscrew the little central screw, and replace the plate using the included replacement screw and the plate of your choice.

After having tightened the 6mm screw, do not forget to unscrew it 180° to ensure free movement of the pressure plate and get the desired contact with the reed.
