The cane of which the FL reeds are produced is grown in Rigotti's fields in Southern France, meeting high quality standards. These standards guarantee a pack of reeds of which each have the same strength, quality and durability.
The Excellence Reeds
François Louis developed the Excellence reed to meet jazz saxophonists’ expectations: consistency, strength and durability. Its progressive flexibility on the longer portion helps to produce a fuller and deeper tone on the most popular jazz mouthpieces while maintaining body and stability in the higher register.
The Excellence Reeds are available for soprano, alto and tenor saxophone, in strengths from 2 - 5.
The Classique Reeds
François Louis developed the Classique or Classical reed to meet classical saxophone and clarinet players’ expectations. Thanks to the longer progression of its flexibility one can produce, with great precision, a fuller and deeper tone on most of the classical mouthpieces, offering a perfect control of the intonation and a great stability in
the high register. The perfect finishing of this filed reed assures an even greater stability and durability.
The Classique Reeds are available for alto saxophone and for clarinet, in strengths from 2 - 5.
